      Hi Brad,

Thank you for your concern. The shipping prices vary on the carrier chosen for delivery. USPS have fixed rates depending on the size of their priority boxes used. FedEx prices depend on the weight of the package and the distance for delivery. PRI Pacific Sea Salt is heavy therefore the rates for shipping the salt are going to be higher than the price. We do offer a $20 minimum on orders for free shipping. I hope this has cleared your concern.

Hi, I recently purchased several of your Manuka Honey 20+ 1.1 lbs. jars of honey. I read an article about the importance of having a Manuka honey company be origin certified by an independent source and also be independently tested for bioavailability. Are you certified by an independent source on both counts? Will greatly appreciate a response.

      Hi Charlene,

Thank you for shopping with PRI! We can assure you our all our Manuka Honey is tested and graded for activity in order to provide you with all of the properties of raw Manuka Honey. On the side of the label it states, “Packed and tested in NZ by Mossop’s Honey exclusively for Pacific Resources.” The Company Mossop’s Honey New Zealand are one of the licensed beekeepers we work with. You can also find their certified license number on the UMF association website, http://www.umf.org.nz/umf-members/. If you have any further questions or concerns, we will be happy to assist you. Thank you!

      Hi Audrey,

Great question, our Manuka Honey 5+ and Manuka Blend. Our UMF 5+, 10+, and 15+ Manuka Honeys in the white labels are all from Arataki Honey. Purple and Gold are from Mossops.
We also have gourmet New Zealand Honeyland honeys from Arataki Honey. Honeyland New Zealand is an Arataki Honey brand.
You can check our website shoppri.com where you can find all our New Zealand honey. I hope this answers your question.

      Thanks,
      Jessica

In a previous comment above asking about 20+ manuka your answer cites the UMF certification but the 20+ container doesn’t state UMF. Your much more expensive 20+ has the UMF statement. Which is it because your 20+ has a small gold medallion with a 20 on it making it look like a certification. I find this possibly misleading and deceptive. Please post the certifications for each side by side! This honey is expensive and I want to know what I am getting!

      Thanks Rod,

Always appreciate the input. The shape the 20+ is in the shape of a honey comb. I agree there is some similarity to the UMF logo. But this has been around since before UMF factors were discovered in Manuka or the logo for UMF. There should be no problem in seeing the difference, as on the UMF products there are big bold letters saying UMF along with the logo.

With the COA test, every batch is a bit different that is why we have the batch number on them. If we put them next to the product it may not be the same as the product being purchased at the time. If you see the product on the shelf or on our web site just let us know just the batch number of shelf product and we will supply. Please remember that these products are produced by Nature not manufactured by man.

If you have any further questions or concerns please email us anytime at info@pri-nz.com, we are happy to help.

      Thanks,
      Jessica

Today I received my order of Manuka honey lozenges with Propolis – Original (Aniseed). I chose the Original (Aniseed) variety from the 3 kinds you offer because the other two contain menthol which I know I do NOT like and I was hoping these Original (Aniseed) ones would have a more pleasant taste. Well, the Original (Aniseed) variety tastes very strong, too, and NOT in a good way … they taste like harshly strong black licorice. I usually don’t dislike licorice but it is overwhelmingly strong as a flavor in these lozenges. Just wanted to let you know that if you offered a variety of Manuka lozenges WITHOUT menthol or aniseed, I would order them … but, alas, that is currently not an option. I will probably just discard the rest of these Original (Aniseed) variety that I purchased because they have a very unpleasant taste. I would like to buy some lozenges that simply taste like a combination of lemon and Manuka honey … no menthol or aniseed please. The reason I am sending this message is to encourage you to offer another variety of Manuka honey lozenges WITHOUT menthol or aniseed … so, If you ever do, please let me know and I will order some to give your lozenges another chance. Your focus on organic healthy ingredients is commendable and makes me want to be a customer.

      Hi Betty,

Thank you for contacting us. You might experience the Aniseed lozenges to have a strong flavor due to the combination of bee propolis and Manuka Honey NPA (Non-Peroxide Activity) 10+. If you are interested in a plain Manuka honey flavor product we carry Manuka Honey Nuggets. They were designed as a hard candy treat, but customers also take the honey nuggets for the same effect as the lozenges. You can visit our website shoppri.com to learn more about our Manuka Honey Nuggets.

If you have any questions or concerns please email us at info@pri-nz.com, we are happy to help.

      Regards,
      Jessica

    Hi,
I just purchased some of your honey from a local store. It does not state UMF on the jar, but does have a yellow label with a gray honeycomb which contains 15+. Is this REAL manuka honey with all the properties of UMF honey or not and if not what is the distinct difference?
    My batch number is 151201
    Thanks

      Hi Chris,

Thank you for contacting us. There are two types of Manuka Honey the Active range graded for peroxide activity (PA) – antibacterial benefit. The UMF range is graded for its peroxide (PA) and non-peroxide activity (NPA or UMF). Manuka honey needs to have a high presence of DHA (dihydroxyacetone), MG (Methylglyoxal), and Leptosperin to be graded a UMF Manuka Honey.

The honey you purchased was in the Active Manuka Honey range. Every batch of Manuka Honey gets tested three times to ensure accuracy by a certified independently approved New Zealand laboratory.
Each jar then gets labeled according to the test results. We have the Certificate of Analysis available the batch # 151201

If you have any questions, please let us know.

      Thank you,
      Jessica
