Turmeric milk tea or “Golden Milk” is a warm, comforting beverage has become pretty popular in recent years. Turmeric has been used for thousands of years to treat a variety of inflammatory conditions. It has its roots in Ayurvedic medicine.
Now that we are well into the Fall season, try this delicious beverage with our New Zealand Manuka Honey and do not forget to add pepper for maximum absorption.
- 1 cup coconut milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon more to taste
- 1 tablespoon Manuka Honey
Bring coconut or almond milk to a boil. Add ground turmeric and reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes. Strain the tea through a fine sieve into a cup; add Manuka Honey, black pepper, and cinnamon.
